160 Water Dragon Test Site #4

Livestock watering ramp at producers site

160 Water Dragon working at beaver dam site

Another angle of Glockemann Pump working

Watering tank, Glockemann output 4.0 to 4.5 litres/min 48 mm bore with an 8’ lift (6’ bank height—2’ tank height.)

The head or drop provided by a beaver dam is relatively low but is sufficient to provide enough water flow energy to power the Glockemann Water Dragon #160. The simple set up shown delivers water to a stock tank remote from the stream bank to provide protection to the riparian area. In this case the stock preferred to use the water tank instead of the watering ramp. This situation water 35 cow/calf pairs.

We thank the folks at Intermountain Conservation District, Ethelbert Manitoba Canada and in particular technician Bruce Stratuliak for providing the pictures and statistics concerning the Glockemann 160 test site.
